November 11, caught and landed a rainbow estimate 25-26 inches long around five pounds, caught on salmon egg. Released for another day. I took the surface temperature around 51 degrees.

I finally get use to summer and it's over. The only place you should have ice is in a drink.

October 27, at Josephine's Pond

Using Jack Gartside's Sparrow #8 on my Farlow Lee Wulff rod 1 ounce, got this nice Rainbow at Josephine's Pond at historic Longfellow's Wayside Inn, 72 Wayside Inn Road, Sudbury, MA.

The pond is open to the public with simple rules: Fly Fishing Only, Barbless Hooks, Catch and Release, No wading, No Boats - you don't vene need a license.
